Sponsor a classroom

A pocket hug in every pocket.
A book in every hand.

Families, local businesses, and community groups can put the Pocket Hug books and a visit from Courtney into a classroom that would not otherwise get one.

How it works

Four steps, and a classroom full of pocket hugs.

Pick a tier

One classroom, every child a book, or a whole grade. Each one includes pocket hugs and a read-aloud.

Name a classroom

A teacher you love, a school you went to, or let Courtney match you with a York County classroom that has asked.

Courtney does the rest

Signed books, pocket hug hearts for every child, and the visit or video read-aloud.

Hear how it went

The classroom gets a thank-you with your name on it. You get a note back, and a photo when the school allows it.

Three ways to help

Pick a tier.

Each one builds on the last. All three include pocket hugs for every child and a read-aloud.

Tier 1

Pocket Hug Classroom

Every child in one classroom gets a pocket hug, and the classroom gets the book.

  • A pocket hug heart for every child, ready to color and cut
  • One signed copy of Lola's Pocket Hug or Nolan's Pocket Hug for the classroom library
  • A read-aloud from Courtney, in person in York County or on video
  • A Read, Color, and Craft session plan for the teacher
  • A thank-you card with your name, or your business's name, for the classroom
Ask for pricing. Most sponsors choose this for one class of about 20.

Tier 3

Sponsor a Grade

Every classroom in a grade, at one school. Books for every child, a visit day, and a teacher kit for each room.

  • A signed copy for every child in the grade
  • Pocket hug hearts for every child
  • A visit day at the school: a read-aloud in each classroom, or one assembly plus classroom crafts
  • A story time kit, coloring pages, and discussion questions for every teacher
  • Sponsor named on the school's thank-you note and, if you like, on this site
Ask for pricing. Quoted by grade size and number of classrooms.

Not sure which one? Ask.

Tell Courtney the school or the grade you have in mind and she will suggest the right fit.
