What this site does with your information.
Short version: the only information Courtney has is what you type into a form and send her.

What you send on purpose. The forms on this site (contact, visit requests, classroom sponsorships, printable downloads, and the gallery) send what you type to Courtney by email. She uses it to answer you and to arrange whatever you asked about. She does not sell it, rent it, or add you to a mailing list you did not ask for. If you would like her to delete something you sent, ask through the contact page and she will.
Children. The games, the feelings check-in, the character picker, and the pocket hug maker are built for kids to use with a grown-up nearby. None of them ask a child for a name, an address, or any other personal detail, and none of them send anything to Courtney. Forms on this site are meant for grown-ups. Courtney does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent something through a form, contact her and it will be deleted.
Pocket hugs you send. When you make a pocket hug to send to someone, the note lives inside the link itself. It is not stored on a server and Courtney never sees it. Anyone with the link can open it, so treat it like a postcard rather than a sealed letter.
What stays in your own browser. A few pages remember small things on your own device, such as which printables you have unlocked, so you are not asked twice. That information stays in your browser and is never sent anywhere. Clearing your browser data clears it.
Visit statistics. This site uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people find useful. It records things like the page visited, the general area a visit came from, and the kind of device used. It is not used to identify anyone. Google's own policy explains their side of it at policies.google.com/privacy.
Other sites. Book links point to Amazon, and events may link to a library or school. Once you leave this site, that company's privacy policy applies, not this one.
